KS2 - Yr 6 SATs

The end of KS2 SATs test all Y6 children in reading, writing and mathematics. Both the reading and maths tests are marked externally and for children to be at age related expectations (ARE), 100 points are needed in both these tests. Writing assessment is carried out by the class teacher, using a range of writing produced across the curriculum to assess each child against nationally agreed standards.

Progress is measured from KS1 outcomes (end of Y2) to KS2 outcomes (end of Y6) and compared with others with similar outcomes nationally. This information is shown as a +/- score with expected progress as 0.
