A massive well done to all pupils, parents and even Grandparents who took part in the Ryde Carnivals last Thursday and Saturday. You certainly all showed Ryde that we are a happy school with your energetic dancing and fabulous costumes.
We are all extremely proud of everyone for excellent behaviour and dancing the whole way around the route with huge smiles and energy. Unfortunately, due to technical problems, we didn't make it to the judging on Thursday, but on Saturday we did and incredibly we won 2 cups and prizes! 1st place in our group as well as Overall Best Constructed Float.
Here are a few write ups by the children and a parent:
Oliver - ' I loved the music and lights, dancing with my friends and it was fun to dress up with green hair' :)
James - 'I enjoyed the carnival because it was filled with entertainment and happiness! My favourite part was when we were walking because I saw all my friends and people having fun! I loved having a ride on the back of the float at the end of the night too!'
Evie - I enjoyed the carnival the theme was Charlie and the Chocolate factory I was Violet and my Dad Was an Umpa Lumpa, Miss Brown and Mrs Wiltshire did our makeup, I had a purple face and my dad had an orange face, my mum enjoyed it she got a place on the bed she had a great time dancing on the bed.

Kirsty (parent) -
We really enjoy the carnival with the school, it's lovely to meet other parents/children and watch the children smiling and dancing. It’s such a great atmosphere and we can't wait to do it again.
