Welcome

I would like to welcome you to the St Mary's website of the federation

of St Mary’s Catholic Primary and St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary schools.

As a federation our schools have one governing body who

work together to ensure that the children in both our schools

are able to experience a diverse, well planned and exciting

curriculum, rooted in a Catholic ethos.

Our aim is to provide the children with the skills

for life which will enable them to go forward into the world

as well adjusted, mature and loving people.

As both a parent and a teacher, I know what an important

decision it is in choosing the right school for your child.

We are very proud of our high standards and achievements

and we will be delighted to answer any queries you may have.

If your child is offered a place at St Mary’s we hope that it will be the start of a rewarding partnership between our school and your family as we encourage a close collaboration between home and school. We set high teaching standards and have high learning expectations throughout the school and are totally committed to giving your child the best possible educational start in life.

With your help  - which we regard as vital in our partnership - we will provide quality education and ensure your child’s years at school are happy and successful.

We value every child as an individual and encourage all children to do their best.

We cater for children of all abilities and provide a stimulating and positively challenging environment where children can enjoy their learning.

Our links to St Mary’s Church and to St Thomas of Canterbury Church are strong and

Frs. Anthony and  Emmanuel are regular visitors to the schools, assisting us in our spiritual growth. Our children learn to love God and understand the teachings of the Gospels and how they relate to our lives today.

I look forward to meeting all the children and families of both schools and to sharing with you all the wonderful experiences this will bring

Yours sincerely

Mrs Alison Langridge
